Heritage of Industrial Modernization of River Onga(2011-)

The Control room and shelters of the movable weir and surrounding landscape were designed and formed considering with historicity, waterscape and biodiversity. Nakama-zeki movable weir in Nakama-city, Fukuoka Japan have to be rebuilt because of river improvement. There is historical heritage near the movable weir. The people live in that area would like to preserve the historical heritage as a World Heritage. Lab. of Env. Design (Keitaro Ito Lab.), Kyushu Inst. of Tech, Tokuoka Sekkei LTD and Ongagawa River Office, MLIT designed those structures and landscape to harmonize with historical heritage.
